Construction systems
Mero offers a wide range of construction element that are distributed not only as individual product lines but also as a package or part turn-key solutions.

Point Supported Glass Façade System
It has been increasingly popular to attach the glass to the structure using fittings directly connected through holes in the glass. These fittings allow improved transparency and offer additional architectural opportunities in the detailing of these connections.

Glass roof system
Glass Roof Systems capture timeless architectural traditions that have been popular for centuries. Exterior roof finishes also include aluminium in standard or custom colors. Glass Roof Systems provide a light and airy space but installation and maintenance of this system require special consideration to minimize the risk of serious injury or death.

Blast resistant façade system
Effective protection is now more important than ever before as a result of the prevailing conditions in the world today including the threat of attack involving explosives. In particular, conventional window glass presents a low level of physical resistance to shock waves.

Skylight system
The primary benefit and purpose of roof skylights is to let more natural sunlight enter your home or business premises. Well-lit homes provide homeowners with healthier, more enjoyable, and more attractive living spaces.

Spaceframe System
The MERO KK-System, the 1st prefabricated Spaceframe System, has a high degree of versatility in its applications. Spaceframes are filigree systems out of nodes and members. Loads are applied via the nodes, the members distributes the compression and stress forces.

Tension rod system
This system forms part of a Tensile Structure. This form of construction has become well understood and widespread in large structures in the latter part of the twentieth century. Tension Structures can span any number of panels over any distance. However, the larger the span, the larger the rods required and the greater the tension forces required to maintain stability and resist the applied loading.

A tensile structure is a construction of elements carrying only tension although, for the most part, they are supported by some form of compression or bending components such as masts, compression rings or beams. Tensile membrane structures are most often used as roofs as they can economically and attractively span large distances. They have long been used in tents, where the guy ropes provide pre-tension to the fabric and allow it to withstand loads.

Cladding system
Description: A non-load bearing external cladding assembly defined as a wall comprising an outer skin of panels and an airtight insulated/non-insulated backing wall separated by a ventilated cavity. It is designed in such a way that the air gap between the cladding system and the building’s inner leaf should have either a proper drainage and ventilation system or is pressure equalized (the air pressure in the gap is the same as that of the outside conditions).

Curtain wall system
Description: As the term implies, this is a compromise between the Stick System and the Fully-Unitised system. In this system, the mullions are separately installed prior to the assembly of the pre-assembled framed panels which are placed between the mullions. These panels may be full storey in height or may be divided into a spandrel unit and a vision glass unit. This system allows for factory glazing of the glass panels. This improves the quality of the sealing system.

Tension Cable System
This system forms part of a Tensile Structure. This form of construction has become well understood and widespread in large structures in the latter part of the twentieth century. In its simplest form, a Tension Structure is a line of cables arranged to form two parabolic arcs, each resisting a load applied in a particular direction, with tubular steel struts at points of support for glazing.
